The Retirement Literacy Foundation (the "Foundation," "we," "our") is a 501(c)(3) public charity registered in California (EIN 41-5062266). This Privacy Policy describes the limited information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information you provide to us, which may include:

· Your name, email address, and phone number when you register for a workshop, request a calculator report, or contact us through our website.
· General information about your retirement situation when you use our educational calculators (age, income range, marital status). This information is used solely to generate the educational report you requested.
· Information you type into a calculator or sign-up form, such as your name, email address, or phone number. We save these fields as you type them, even if you do not press the submit button, so your results are not lost and so we can follow up about the material you were viewing. If you would rather we not keep it, email hans@retirementliteracyfoundation.org and we will delete it.
· Standard website analytics data via Google Analytics 4, including pages visited, approximate geographic location, and device type.
· On our recorded class pages, our own first-party record of which class page you opened, how much of the video you watched, which parts of it, and whether you clicked to book a call. If you arrived from one of our emails, a random code in the link lets us connect that activity to the email we sent you, so we can follow up about what you viewed. We use this to improve the classes and to follow up with you about them. The code is never sent to our advertising partners.
· Cookie and device identifiers, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, video watch milestones (25, 50, 75, 90 percent and finished) and booking-button clicks, collected by our advertising and analytics partners (see section 5).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely for the following purposes:

· To register you for educational workshops and send confirmation, location, and reminder messages.
· To deliver the educational calculator report you requested.
· To send periodic educational communications about retirement planning topics, upcoming workshops, and free educational resources from the Foundation.
· To respond to your inquiries.
· If you give us a phone number on a form, to call you at that number about your request, and to text you if you opted in to text messages (see section 4).

3. What We Do Not Do, and Who May Contact You

The Retirement Literacy Foundation does not sell your personal information for money, and does not give your name, email address, or phone number to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Our advertising and analytics partners' tags on our site collect information about your visit. Under California law that can count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, which is why you can opt out at any time (section 5). Your requests are answered by the Foundation, including our founder, Hans Goldstein. The Foundation does not sell financial products, accept commissions, or provide individualized financial advice.

Phone calls. If you give us a phone number, we may call you at that number about your request, for example to confirm your seat at a workshop or to answer a question you asked. If you do not give us a phone number, we email you what you asked for. We keep a record of what you submitted, the time, and the page you submitted it from.

4. SMS / Text Messaging

How you opt in. We text you only if you check the optional text-message box on one of our forms, or if you text us first. The box is never pre-checked, and you do not have to check it to register for a workshop, use a calculator, or receive anything from us.

What we send. Workshop confirmations, location details and reminders, answers to the questions you asked us, and occasional notices about free educational resources and upcoming classes.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and help. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages; we will send one confirmation and nothing more. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hans@retirementliteracyfoundation.org or 714-584-4921. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

Analytics and first-party records. We use Google Analytics 4 with its advertising features turned off to understand how visitors use the site, our own first-party log of class page activity (section 1), and a cookie that remembers your privacy choice if you opt out. This helps us improve our educational content. You may disable analytics through your browser settings or a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-Out add-on.

Advertising. Our advertising partners' tags record that you visited the page, which class it was, how far you watched, and whether you clicked to book. We use that only to show the foundation's own free classes, recorded videos and free education call to people who visited or watched, and to measure whether those ads work. These audiences are used only for the foundation's education promotions. They are not shared with, or used for, any other business or any product sales.

Audience membership is kept for up to 180 days. We never send our advertising partners your name, email address, phone number or the code from our emails. If you opt out, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, these tags never load.

5A. Your California Privacy Choices

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell personal information for money. Loading advertising cookies may be "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, so you can opt out here: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, on every device and browser that sends it, with no extra step.

Categories shared in the last 12 months, except for visitors who opted out or sent a Global Privacy Control signal: identifiers (cookie IDs, IP address, device identifiers) and internet activity (pages viewed, video watch milestones, booking clicks), shared with advertising and analytics partners for advertising and measurement. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics, and we do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.

Your other choices. You can also manage ads in Google Ad Settings and Meta Ad Preferences, or clear cookies in your browser.

6. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.

7. Data Retention

We retain your contact information for as long as you remain on our educational mailing list or actively engage with our workshops. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing hans@retirementliteracyfoundation.org. How and when we send email is described in our anti-spam and acceptable use policy.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us at hans@retirementliteracyfoundation.org or call 714-584-4921. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of sale or sharing; to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for those purposes); and to be free of discrimination for using these rights. To use them, email hans@retirementliteracyfoundation.org or call 714-584-4921; an authorized agent may ask on your behalf. We respond within 45 days. 9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be posted on this page with the updated date.
